Poomsae

The Taegeuk poomsaes are the official forms required for all color belt students of the World Taekwondo Federation-affiliated schools or members. Taegeuk is a system of patterns comprised of defensive and offensive techniques used in traditional martial arts. The word "Tae" means "bigness" such as that of the universe and "Geuk" means "infinity"or "ultimate". Thus "Taegeuk" symbolizes the "Supreme Ultimate" which has no beginning or end but is the origin of everything in the universe.
